한양대학교 2010-1 편입영어 출제경향

한양대  편입영어는 제한시간 70분에 객관식 4지선다형으로 총 40문항이 출제되었다. 문제는 생활영어, 어법에 맞는 문장배열, G/S, 논리완성, 독해의 6개 영역으로 구성되었다.

생활영어  2문항이 출제되었다. 두 사람의 대화를 제시하고 그 대화로부터 추론할 수 있는 내용을 고르는 문제 1문항, 대화가 이뤄지는 장소를 추론하는 문제 1문항 총 2문항이 출제되었다. 내용은 고등학교 교과서에 나오는 수준으로 쉬웠으나 대화를 통해 추론하는 훈련이 필요한 문제였다.

John: Well, it wasn't always fun, but I could work outdoors and the money was decent.

문법  문장 속에서 밑줄 친 부분을 어법에 맞게 배열하는 문제가 2문항, General Structure 2문항 총 4문항이 출제되었다. 특히 문장 배열 문제는 전체 문장 속에서 문장의 구조를 정확하게 구성할 줄 알아야 풀 수 있는 문제였다. 동사의 5형식, 원급비교, 비교급의 관용표현, 등위상관접속사 both A and B와 비슷한 표현인 at once A and B를 묻는 문제가 출제되었다.

논리완성  단문의 논리완성 one blank 문제 2문항, 장문의 논리완성 one blank 문제 2문항, 장문의 논리완성 two blanks 문제가 2문항 총 6문항이 출제되었다. 작년에 이어 장문의 논리완성이 주를 이뤄 지문의 길이에 대한 부담감 때문에 수험생들은 다소 어렵게 느꼈을 수도 있다. 관용적인 표현을 묻는 문제는 출제되지 않았고, ‘통념’을 뜻하는 myth와 같이 기본적인 뜻 외에 이차적인 의미로 쓰이는 단어도 출제되었다.

Tau occurs normally in neurons and consists of microtubules that look like ropes. These become the tangled masses of Alzheimer's when abnormal formations of tau occur. 독해 19지문 총 28문항이 출제되었다. 문제의 유형으로는 추론, 내용파악, 제목, 주제, 내용일치, 문맥상 동의어 찾기, 글의 목적, 빈칸완성, 글의 어조 등이었다. 지문의 내용으로는 어린 시절 회상, 플라스틱의 용도, 라틴아메리카 사람, 아시아인들의 특정지역 인구증가, 의사소통에 대한 두려움, 학습하기 전 기분전환, 사막에 사는 생물, 상품권, 간접흡연의 위험, 사회계약설, 사해가 소금기가 많은 이유, 바다에서 신약개발, 엄마 되기, 하키경기장에서의 비극과 대책, 아마(亞麻)의 재배, 일상에서 접하는 대기와 물에 들어있는 미생물의 해로움, 인간이 개구리에 가하는 위협, 환경 친화적인 축산업 등이었다. 주제나 내용에 관해 묻는 문제 등 지문의 내용을 정확히 이해해야 풀 수 있는 문제들이 많이 출제되었다. 뒤로 갈수록 지문의 길이는 길었으나 이해하기 어려운 내용은 아니었으므로 집중력을 갖고 적절히 시간을 안배하는 것이 중요했다.
