경희대학교 2010-1 편입영어 출제경향

경희대  편입영어는 제한시간 60분에 객관식 4지선다형으로 총 60문항이 출제되었다. 전반적으로 난이도는 작년보다 어려워졌으며, 문제의 길이도 훨씬 길어졌다.

문법  Written Expression 4문항, General Structure 4문항이 출제되었다. 지난해와 달리 W/E, G/S 모두 논리완성 문제나 단문의 독해지문 정도로 길어져 단순히 문법사항을 물어보기보다는 그 지문을 다 이해한 다음 풀 수 있는 문제가 출제되었으며, 특히 G/S의 경우 two blanks와 three blanks가 처음으로 출제되었다. 출제된 유형으로는 전치사의 목적어로 쓰인 동명사, 비교급, 자동사와 타동사의 구분, 부정관사와 정관사의 구분, not so much A as B, 시제일치 등이었다.

어휘 동의어 문제가 지난해보다 한 문항 늘어 16문항 출제되었다. 출제된 어휘는 consternation, lethargic, vie, anemic, proliferate, indomitable, grueling, sophisticated, cede, disrupt, abdicate, sturdy, virtually, concoct, parsimonious, tackle 등이다. 비교적 자주 접한 단어들도 많이 나왔지만, ‘대경실색’을 뜻하는 consternation, ‘극도로 아끼는, 아주 인색한’을 뜻하는 parsimonious 등의 고급 어휘도 출제되었다.

Do I exist? Am I real? Is what I see and touch real? human beings are different from animals in that they raise questions about the meaning of life. People always come across new problems. Whether they are light or serous, the understanding of the relationship between self and the world is the base for one to tackle problems.

논리완성  one blank 유형으로 10문항 출제되었고, 지난해보다 한 문항 줄어들었다. 논리완성은 문장구조가 복잡하지 않아 문맥을 파악하는 데 큰 어려움이 없었다.

독해  9지문 총 26문항이 출제되어 지난해보다 다소 독해 비중이 커졌다. 내용파악, 빈칸완성, 문맥상 동의어 찾기, 추론적 이해, 제목, 주제, 내용일치가 독해 문제의 대부분을 차지하였다. 지문의 내용으로는 doomsday clock, 유전자 조작식물, 캐나다 경제의 호황, 사이버머니, 홍콩의 인종차별, 미국 교육업계의 문제점, 성격의 급격한 변화 등에 관한 것이었다.
