서강대학교 2009-1 편입영어 출제경향

서강대 편입영어는 총 40문항이 출제됐고 2회로 나누어 시행됐다. <1차>와 <2차>의 문제는 서로 다르게 출제됐지만, 문제의 구성과 난이도는 비슷했다. 예년과 달리 올해는 A:B=C:D의 관계를 묻는 유추 유형의 문제가 3문항 출제됐다. 상반관계만 파악하면 쉽게 풀 수 있는 문제였지만, 편입영어의 출제경향이 유동적이라는 것을 실감할 수 있는 변화였다.

문법  <1차>에서는 Written Expression으로만 6문항이, <2차>에서는 Written Expression 5문항, General Structure 4문항이 출제됐다. 출제된 유형으로는 수일치, 올바른 부사, 전치사, 접속사 표현, 시제 등이었다.

어휘  <1차>에서는 동의어 찾기 6문항, 유추 3문항이, <2차>에서는 동의어 찾기 7문항, 유추 3문항이 출제됐다. 출제된 어휘는 placid, baffle, plaintive, elusive, absurd, stringent, strict, spurious, prodigious, extraordinary, shrinking, contracting, obligingly, cheerfully, blur, opaque, exuberant, substantial, secure, derisive, atheist, condone, stick with it, underpin, support, assiduously, diligently, transparent, evanescent, everlasting, repellent, disgusting, encroachment, invasion 등이다.

독해  <1차>에서는 18문항, <2차>에서는 19문항이 출제됐다. 문제의 유형으로는 내용일치를 묻는 문제와 빈칸완성 유형이 주로 출제됐고 동의어를 묻는 문제도 상당부분 출제됐다. 지문의 내용으로는 리얼리티 TV 프로그램, 나이와 뇌 활동의 관계, 영어의 쇠퇴, 마티스와 샤갈, 배경음악의 효과, 비타민의 효과적인 섭취방법, 세계적인 영어의 영향력 등이 나왔다.
