건국대학교 2008-1 편입영어 출제경향

건국대 2008년 편입시험은 지난해와 같이 제한시간 60분에 50문항이 출제 되었으며, 생활영어, 논리완성, 문법, 독해가 골고루 출제 되었다.

실용영어에는 A와 B가 대화하는 형식 5문항이 출제되었는데 이 중 3문항은 A나 B가 할 말을 고르는 문제이고 2문항은 두 사람의 대화를 듣고 제시되는 질문에 대한 답을 고르는 문제이다.

문법에서는 W/E 형태의 문제 5문항이 출제되었으며, 전치사의 목적어, 주어와 동사의 수일치, 자동사, 관계대명사 등을 묻는 문제들이었다.

논리완성(단문)에서는 빈칸에 들어갈 가장 알맞은 단어를 고르는 문제 5문항, 빈칸에 공통으로 들어갈 단어를 고르는 문제 10문항이 출제되었다. 출제된 어휘로는 ‘empirical, kidnap, explicit, meager, maxim, practical joke, reproach, reciprocal, corollary, volatile, volition, transient, concord, redundant, concise’ 등이 있었다.

독해는 총 10개 지문에 18문제가 출제 되었다. 출제된 유형으로는 밑줄 친 단어가 어느 분야에 속하는 지 고르기, 특정한 단어의 특징, 글의 목적, 빈칸에 들어갈 단어를 바르게 짝지은 것 고르기, 빈칸에 들어갈 적절한 표현, 밑줄 친 부분처럼 말한 이유 고르기, 주제, 내용일치, 글의 구성방식 등이었다.

지문의 내용은 ‘소수민족이나 소수인종에게 주어진 제한된 기회, 교토의정서의 업적, 훌륭한 글의 특징, 언어학습에 관한 책의 소개, 몰입(flow)의 특징, 베트남전 당시 어떤 일기를 몰래 빼돌린 미 정보요원, 마약의 흐름을 차단하려는 노력의 무익함’ 등에 관한 것이었다.
