성균관대학교 2009-1 편입영어 출제경향

성균관대 편입영어는 제한시간 90분에 5지선다형으로 50문항 출제됐고, <오전>, <오후>로 나누어 시행됐다. <오전> 문제는 작년과 달리 논리완성 문제 대신 독해문제가 5문항 출제됐다. <오후> 문제는 문법파트에서 작년과 달리 Written Expression 형식이 아닌 General Structure 형식의 문제가 출제됐다. 예년에 비해 독해문제가 늘어나서 적절한 시간안배와 정확한 내용파악 능력이 관건이었다.

문법  <오전> 시험에서는 Written Expression 5문항, <오후> 시험에서는 General Structure 5문항이 출제됐다. 출제된 유형으로는 most와 mostly의 구분, not only A but also B 구문에서 to 부정사 병치, 현재완료와 능동태, with분사구문, be used to 다음의 동명사, only 부사구 다음의 주어와 동사의 도치, 제안의 동사 suggest 다음의 that절에서 ‘(should) 동사원형’이 오는 경우, 가정법 과거완료, 주어와 동사의 수일치 및 need의 to부정사 수동, 시간 부사절에서 현재시제의 미래시제 대용 등이었다.

어휘  동의어 5문항이 출제됐다. 출제된 어휘는 dire, abound, deity, vital, usurp, genuine, give vent to, adversity, feign, prior to 등이었다. 어휘들은 교재에서 흔히 접할 수 있는 것들이었으며, 문장도 길지 않아 단어의 정확한 뜻을 알고 있다면 쉽게 풀 수 있었을 것이다.

독해  35문항이 출제됐다. 문제유형은 추론, 제목, 주제, 동의어 찾기, 빈칸완성, 내용일치, 부분 이해 및 해석, 문단 나누기, 내용파악, 밑줄 친 것이 지칭하는 것 찾기, 글의 종류, 글의 분위기, 재진술 등이었다. 지문의 내용으로는 사라질 위기에 처한 동전, 남자와 여자의 차이, 일의 가치, 에스키모의 눈과 관련된 단어 수에 대한 이야기, 아이에게 특히 나쁜 화학물질 BPA, 십대의 잠에 관한 연구, 오바마 취임식에서 일반 대중 안전 계획, 과학과 이론 사이의 논쟁, 흑인에 대한 인종차별, 일의 숨겨진 목적, 인간 본성의 법칙이 물리적인 법칙과 다른 점, 퇴직자를 위한 장소 샌프란시스코, 결혼을 한 후 남편과 아내 사이의 개인적 관계에 있어서 불가피한 변화, 아인슈타인이 우울증을 극복한 방법, 신밧드 이야기에서 묘사된 인성의 두 가지 특징, 속담이 조잡하고 거친 이유 등이었다.
